Jack Brunsdon & Son are well known throughout the region for their super timber windows and front doors, which they offer in both contemporary and traditional styles.
The house, which was built around 30 years ago, had a smart, pulled-together look which was let down by the slightly tired windows and front door in the brick-built porch.
Knowing it could look an awful lot lovelier, Carol chose a Victorian-style front door in London Grey, two sash windows in white and an elegant replacement fanlight.
She says: “They proved to be perfect for the house and blended in seamlessly with the rest of the façade. The grey front door looks fantastic against the red brick of the building and the white of the porch, while the white windows add to the crisp finish.”
Carol also chose a letter plate and ring door knocker in polished chrome by Samuel Heath. Together, the changes have made a huge difference to the property.
“I love it,” Carol says. “It’s made the entrance way look so much better and I couldn’t be happier.”
The decorative fanlight above the window, which had been leaking, was replaced and looks perfect.
“I’m particularly pleased with it,” Carol adds. “I was worried about getting it replaced, but now it looks better than ever.”
